The Thief

Thoughts of the day:
The thief does not come unless it is to steal and slay and destroy.—John 10:10.

Genesis 3:1-5 describes how ‘the voice of a stranger’ was heard on earth for the first time. Granted, in this account Satan is not literally termed “a stranger.” Nevertheless, his actions show that in many ways he was like the stranger described in Jesus’ illustration recorded in John chapter 10. Jesus states that the stranger approaches his victims in the sheepfold in a roundabout way. Likewise, Satan approached his victim indirectly, using a serpent. This sly approach exposed Satan for what he really is—a devious intruder. Further, the stranger in the sheepfold sets out to rob the rightful owner of his sheep. In fact, he is worse than a thief, for his aim is also to “slay and destroy.” Similarly, Satan was a thief. Deceiving Eve, he stole her allegiance from God. Moreover, Satan also brought death to humans. Hence, he is a murderer.
Olaah!

Hi Francesca. I think it is only fair to tell everyone that the study is not really a Bible study. It is a study of Watchtower publications. The Watchtower publications will tell you what the Bible says. The funny thing is, Jehovah's Witnesses have been making predictions for decades that they claimed were based on the Bible and none of these predictions have come true.

While Jehovah's Witnesses will tell you that everything they teach is based on the Bible, you will learn things that no Bible ever mentions:
Field Service
Watchtower Study
Pioneer
Presiding Overseer
Five Meetings Per Week
Bethel Service
Magazine Placement
Awake Magazine
A Myriad of Little Books
Not being able to communicate
with family or friends if you ever
decide not to be a witness
Governing Body....

and so much more.

So before you choose to study with the Witnesses please do a lot of research to see what you are actually getiing into.

Best regards to you Francesca.

the predictions will come true, according to God's not what men say. Even Jesus do not know, witnesses do not know also when.

The best thing in Jehovah's Witnesses are: they are not a problem of the community. They dont steal, rob, slander, or make trouble with anybody. They are more for peace than joining war. They do not involve in politics.
All the teachings in Jehovah's organisations are based in the Bible.
And if you feel they are not doing right, they are everywhere, open for discussions to any questions.
They are not hiding, in fact they come to your homes, in parks, in public to discuss with you the good news of God's Kingdom.

What religion does that? What religion gives spiritual food diligently like the Jws? The Catholics ? Muslims,Buddhists, etc etc?

You must meet a JW to know one.

Thanks, mr anonymous.
Seems the poster doesnt know these activities he/mentioned :are part of Theocracy(God's laws)

Not many can keep up the "truth" in the Bible.Only true JWitnesses.

Not many can commit themselves to the will of God.

Not many can keep up to the narrow road that leads to everlasting life...
We got worries. God undestands all that.
Can a loving God gives His children bad gifts(let us suffer?)

Even a bad father would not give his son a poisonnous gift, isnt it?
What more of our loving Father, Jehovah God...
I still call Satan a non ingrata angel turns devil, murderer, liar...
Who could be a friend of that one?
